1-2-3 BBQ Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
*1-2 pounds of chicken pieces (I cut chicken breasts into smaller pieces. Tenders or full breasts or even chicken on the bone would also work, just adjust your cooking time accordingly.)
*1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce (or your own homemade recipe will work, too!)
To Prepare:
2. Next, you’ll want to delicately drizzle squirt some of your favorite BBQ (or barbecue for those that prefer the long version) sauce on top of the chicken. Any brand or kind will work, so choose yours according to your own taste.
I usually use about half of the bottle, but it really is up to you and will also depend on how much chicken you have. I like to at least save half a cup or so to serve with the meal as some of my family members want it saucier than others!
3. Next, you’ll bake your chicken. Now I usually buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts and cut mine up into lots of big chunks. You could also use the chicken tender cuts to save yourself the trouble. Chicken thighs, wings, leg quarters, or whole breasts would work, too, but their cooking times will vary a bit.
I cook my chicken chunks between 25-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Always check to make sure your biggest piece is thoroughly cooked with no pink in the middle or whip out your meat thermometer and make sure you’re at 165 degrees for boneless or 170 degrees for bone-in chicken pieces.
Voila! You have your entree all done! I like to serve with equally easy sides like fresh fruit, mixed steamed vegetables, and mashed potatoes.

Crockpot BBQ Chicken is just as easy! In fact, you can even start with frozen chicken. Throw your chicken in the crock pot or slow cooker, cover with sauce, and cook with the lid on for 6-8 hours on low.
