So lots of my favorite bloggers are doing a fun posting with their dialects and I wanted to jump in on the fun too! Basically, everyone is supposed to read this list of words and questions (and answer the questions).
Here is the list:
Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped
body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry
groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?
Okay, so here it is! Can I say that they always pick THE worst frame to preview there? I mean really. haha Oh well… Tired me, reading the list (and yes, hubby/photographer cut off my last few words… It should have ended, “Talk to you later! Bye!”):
Do you want to join in? You really should! If you do, comment and link me!

Jenn, this is funny. I am East Texas country girl, and I say a lot of things WAY different than you do.
I think I will have to do this just so you can hear the differences! And BTW Jennifer, it’s coke…even if it’s a pepsi or sprite. Always a coke…LOL

I say things pretty much the same way except pecan. I’m from NY so you have to give me a break LOL
Jessica says

A channel hopper? Never heard that one before 🙂
So glad you joined! You are fun to watch, so energetic.
And I find it so cute that you say “howdy ya’ll” totally a texan at heart – even though you don’t have much of a twang
Jenn says
hehe thanks for stopping by, girls!
Yeah, it’s funny how everyone says things so differently, even within TX. I don’t have much of a twang, but I should totally do a video sometime that displays my acting abilities. LOL I could totally be in some hillbilly movie!

I want to tell you that you said things wrong, just cause you said not to! Your voice sounds normal to me.
I think Granny and Papa are definitely a southern thing. That’s too funny that you have a Memaw that you called Meme. My MIL is supposed to be Memaw but my daughter calls her Meme!
And I have never heard a remote called a channel hopper – that’s hilarious!
